I’m not gonna lie, at first I was skeptical, but Lash Affair’s Facebook status updates certainly had my curiosity piqued, and soon I found myself booking an appointment.
Lash Affair is currently a home-run business, with a commercial location set to open in 2012. Don’t let the idea of home based esthetics fool you – stepping into Lash Affair is like finding a little slice of serenity. The lounge is impeccably decorated, and immediately relaxing. As I waited (very shortly) for another happy client to get her fills finished, I was treated to a gourmet coffee while I checked out all of the great lash accessories Courtney’s studio has to offer.

When it was my turn, I hopped onto the very comfortable lash bed, and lay back while Courtney applied under eye pads to my bottom lashes. Not only do the pads protect your eyes while having lashes applied, they also revitalize your under-eyes by adding hydration, collagen, reducing dark circles, and effectively give you that “fresh” look!
Lash extensions come in a variety of lengths and materials (including mink for uber Lashionista’s!) and Courtney and her staff will work with you to create whatever look you desire.
Once you’ve designed your transformation, lashes are applied individually to each lash using the highest quality and safest adhesive on the market. At first, it’s a tiny but strange, feeling your eyelashes wiggling about, but soon enough I found myself extremely relaxed and would have likely fallen asleep if I hadn’t asked so many questions!
I have to be honest, when I looked in the mirror after the service, I wasn’t immediately sure what I thought. My lashes looked amazing but it felt like a very dramatic difference for the everyday. I figured I’d sleep on it and when I woke up the next morning, I couldn’t believe my eyes! What a difference! I could have seriously just walked out the door looking and feeling more confident in my appearance than ever before.
That next day I received three separate compliments without even mentioning my lashes – one friend exclaimed she just had to try my new mascara! I don’t know if I could ever go “lashless” again!
