Erin, Thomas, and Georgia – Family Fun Times 09.01.10

Prepare yourself for an overload of adorable!

Are you prepared? Okay… Meet Erin, Thomas and wee Georgia:

Erin and I met in 2003, when we both started work at a local radio station. She’s always been a complete sweet heart, and I’ve always admired her ambition and drive. Four years ago she met her perfect match, Thomas. They married, and not long after welcomed this cute little bean into the world.

Their happy home includes two incredibly fun little pups. This one’s Kota; look at him smiling away!

I love the fact that Erin brought a change of clothes for Georgia. What a beauty ballerina baby!

Erin has mentioned Georgia seems to awake from her naps almost grouchy that she has missed some of what the world has to offer. She’s constantly taking in all that she sees, and doesn’t want to miss out on anything. I love her expression in this photo!

Thanks Erin, Thomas, and Georgia for a lovely Sunday evening. You guys are the best.

Whitney and Dustin – Engaged! 08.19.10

Whitney and Dustin’s photo shoot was a lovely experience. It was early August, the light was gorgeous, the location was phenomenal and there was definitely something special in the air.

From the very first frame, the affection between these two was tangible.

We shot all the images on Dustin’s parents’ property. Incredible, right?

From fields to forest and old farm buildings and equipment, we never had a shortage of fun things to shoot.

These two were serious troopers. This evening was from the week that will go down in history as “The Great Mosquito Invasion of 2010″. Whitney counted after the shoot and said she had over 100 bites on her legs alone! Yikes – I’m itchy just thinking about it!

The wedding is set for October 31st, something Whitney has wanted since she was a little girl. Halloween is my absolute favourite holiday, so I’m thrilled! It’s going to be a blast!

Steph and Graham – Married! 08.11.10

Prepare yourself for the wedding post of the month! There were so many fabulous pictures from Steph and Gaham’s special day, it was hard to choose which to share! I opted for a storybook style post, so you can experience the journey.

The day started early and Steph’s family’s house. The beautiful wreath on the door signifies the bride is inside preparing for her wedding day.

I arrived shortly after Stephanie received a special gift from Graham, a beautiful Key pendant from Tiffany’s & Co.

The house was bustling with all sorts of excitement. While the girls did each other’s make up, Stephanie’s sister and MOH Katharine finished up that night’s speech.

Steph and her bridesmaids were all incredibly easygoing, and share such a sweet bond. It was hard not to feel the love in the air.

While the girls gabbed and enjoyed the morning, Grandpa opted for some quiet time to catch up on FIFA World Cup action.

Steph was an absolutely stunning bride. The dress suited her perfectly.

Both Steph’s Dad and Grandpa walked her down the aisle that day.  It was so sweet to see the emotion in their faces at that moment.

Then we snuck away to the river valley to catch some shots of the lovely bridal party.

Graham and his groomsmen were so suave.

I would have to say this candid moment is one of my very favourite shots of the day…

Steph and Graham’s happiness was infectious!

One of the most entertaining parts of the evening would have had to be the garter and bouquet toss. The guests at this wedding were determined!

Congratulations Steph and Graham! I wish you the very best in the years to come.

The Von Sprecken Family 08.07.10

Introducing, the lovely Von Sprecken family:

You may recognize Jill on the left from a last year’s June Convocation shoot.

Jill and I have been friends for… oh gosh, about 14 years now! We’ve had many an adventure, and have shared millions of laughs, so it was nice to be able to get together with her and the rest of the Von Sprecken clan for an evening of fun.

As you can see, they love to laugh too. Mrs. Von Sprecken has one of the best laughs ever, and Mr. Von Sprecken is hilarious, so we got to hear that laugh lots throughout the evening.

Jill’s sisters, Tessa and Megan, are awesome. I’ve always kind of thought of them as the sisters I never had. It’s been fun watching them grow into the people they are today. All three girls are totally different, but have that distinct Von Sprecken flavour everyone loves so much.

I’m very honoured to have had the chance to take the Von Sprecken family’s photos this year. They are some of the kindest, most welcoming and friendly people in the world.
